Tractor Trailer Unhitch Accidents in New Mexico

Large commercial trucks are generally in two parts.  The cabin is where the truck driver operates the vehicle.  This is the cockpit of the truck with the steering wheel and brakes.  The second part is the trailer bed, or the part of the truck for the cargo.  Some trucks have two trailer beds for extra cargo.  Some states even allow triple trailers.  The trailers are connected to the cabin and the other trailers by a hitch.  This hitch is what keeps them connected.  However, defects in the hitch, improper maintenance, and improperly hitching the trucks can result in tractor trailer unhitch accidents in New Mexico.  Learn more about this type of crash and serious personal injuries.

"Didn't See You": Why Blind Spots are Not Excuses to New Mexico Trucking Accidents

Large commercial vehicles like semi tractor trailers, tankers, double tandem trailers, big rigs, and other box trucks all have one thing in common: Massive blind spots.  Yes, they have additional mirrors and some newer trucks have blind spot warning and support systems.  However, no matter the protections, blind spots on a large truck are dangerous and can result in serious personal injuries.  One of the common excuses for a blind spot trucking accident is that "I didn't see you," with "I" being the truck driver and "you" being the smaller, passenger vehicle.  Learn why this is not a defense from our New Mexico trucking accident lawyers here.
